Where have I been?

I will confess two this. I have been drawn into the world of FACEBOOK for starters. I have made contact with co-workers and some childhood neighbors as well as some high school classmates. Some of my former classmates date back to elementary school. As of this post I have friended 68 people which isn’t a lot but for me I find it addicting, fun, and interesting . There are many downsides to FB as well. I have no interest in the ‘games’ or certainly  no interest in a virtual drink -WTF! I have tried to drive some interest in posting bizarre or interesting photos that I have absconded off the internet and asked friends to leave creative comments/captions for each photo. I do have some very loyal participants for that and I find it much more interesting than receiving a picture of a unicorn or a shamrock for ‘luck’?

I as stated in my previous post am now using my brand new Apple iMac. It’s a beautiful machine. It’s like comparing a to of the line Lexus to say a Ford Taurus when comparing the iMac to a (any brand) PC. My brother in law first handed me down his old Apple IIe many years ago. I then moved back to a PC with a Gateway and made it work but as I recall was often giving me trouble. I tried upgrading it to little or no avail. So I went back to look at Apple about five maybe six years ago. I bought my first all-in one iMac. A 800 MHz Power PC G4 iMac. In all this time I never had to deal with a crash, a re-install, a virus, a trojan horse, or make some kluge work around. Since taking up photography along with photoshop as hobbies I just wanted the horsepower. The demand for hard drive space and ram and graphic speed also increased. I have so much now I am almost overwhelmed. I have finally finished  transferring all my data from my old computer to this new one.images
