Almost there — Stage ONE — Across the Pacific

All in vane? I hope not. Roz is about to complete the first of a three stage attempt to cross the Pacific Ocean in her custom made vessel and a couple of oars.

• Stage 1, 2008, San Francisco to Hawaii. 2,324 statute miles, course 247 degrees.
• Stage 2, 2009, Hawaii to Tuvalu. 2,620 statute miles, course 224 degrees.
• Stage 3, 2010, Tuvalu to Australia. 2,324 statute miles, course 252 degrees. 

This is the craft in which Roz will complete her journey. Other than the fresh water pump breaking down it was about what you would expect it to be! Her goal is to raise awareness and save our oceans. I personally have taken an interest in Roz’s daily blog journaling her adventure.
